Salon.com: Can video games help cure depression?

The conventional narrative about the relationship between social adaption and video games is illustrated by the interpretation of a recent study that found a correlation in adolescents between depression and time spent playing video games. It was assumed when reporting these findings that playing games increased susceptibility to depression. However it is equally possible that adolescents with depression are treating their depression through playing video games.
