Unconscious Processes Observed in Lab

This interesting study seems to demonstrate that psychodynamic processes can be empirically observed:

ScienceDaily (Mar. 16, 2009) ā€” A new study challenges the prevailing assumption that you must pay attention to something in order to learn it. The research, published in the March 12th issue of the journal Neuron, demonstrates that stimulus-reward pairing can elicit visual learning in adults, even without awareness of the stimulus presentation or reward contingencies
